Food Diary – Episode Seven – Sunday
Well people,
What a disaster today was, diet wise I mean, was so good until I got to Andrew’s parents then the wine came out and I ate and ate
But I don’t care because it turned out to be a VERY special occasion because....I GOT ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I relaxed things a bit. For breakfast I had a bowl of buckwheat flakes with a spoonful of flaxseeds.
For lunch I had a plain chicken breast with some sweet potato, then 2 squares of chocolate. Didn’t eat again until dinner when I had roast beef, mashed potato, cauliflower and broccoli cheese, Yorkshire puddings. Then dessert was fresh fruit salad (good), WITH fresh cream AND ice cream (bad) eek. 2 glasses of red wine, the calorie summary will contain an estimate for this meal lol.
Then when we got home I had 100g chicken and 2 more squares of chocolate. So I was really making progress and then I fell off the wagon a bit. All I can do is accept that I made some mistakes and carry on as normal tomorrow. No point in beating myself up about it. Tomorrow’s a new day. And I’m engaged!
So this great day marks the end of My Food Diary Series and I hope it has helped others in their discipline regarding food. Or at least illustrates the discipline you need to adopt in order to reach a fat loss goal like mine. My habits may change again over time, so in a month or so I will maybe record another food diary to compare and see my journey evolve.
So here is my final summary.
| Time | Meal | Calories |
| 08:00 | 60g buckwheat flakes & 1 dsp flaxseeds | 300 |
| 13:45 | 130g Chicken and 150g sweet potato | 310 |
| 14:15 | 2 squares of dark chocolate | 100 |
| 18:30 | Roast beef, mashed potato, cauliflower and broccoli cheese, 2 small Yorkshire puddings, fruit salad, fresh cream and ice cream. 2 glasses of red wine |
900(approx) |
| 21:45 | 100g chicken, 2 squares of chocolate | 220 |
| Total | 1830 | |
See you soon, very soon for my next workout lol

Hey Marriane,
I love the site. Some excellent workouts and recipes that I am going to try. Love the videos they look great and so do you. I better get my skates on to get the results I want.
Hi Clodagh, Thanks for commenting, glad you like the content, will be posting up further workouts this week, so keep an eye out.
It can be really difficult to be consistent with the diet side of things sometimes, because I see other people enjoying their treats and big portions, and I think “to hell with it, I’ve been good all week”. I guess I should reward myself with something other than food. And for the food I love, just ease off on the portion size. Gosh I make it sound so easy lol
Congratulations on your engagement!
Thank you
what a brilliant site you look great and your form is excellant. I was looking for a killer workout and came across you so glad I have. Congrats on your engagement too.
Thanks Dave, I’m glad you enjoy the workouts. Feel free to give me ideas
I’ll try and keep them coming.
